End of Season 4

Well its a sign that summer is on the way when we mark the end of Season 4. This season we had a change of format, screening twice a month instead of weekly. We think it worked well and we were delighted to welcome new members over the course of the 12 weeks. After a false start and a couple of hiccups along the way we managed to view the world of vampire children in Sweden, a reluctant grocer in France and a lady called Pippa Lee figuring out her life. We witnessed the highs and lows of an Australian family whose eldest son has Autism and finally the shocking history of Polish POWS and the fate they met in Russia. This was all the more poignant when days later there was that awful plane crash involving the Polish President, in the same place.
We would like to thank all who attended. As a voluntary run club we are dependent on the support of the public for our continued existence. As such we will be reflecting over the next while on what our next steps will be as a film club. If you have any opinions or views you would like to share with the committee we would be delighted to hear them. All feedback welcome.
All the best.
