May Film Tour-Dare To Be Wild-Wed 3rd May 2017

The May Film Tour is organised jointly by access>CINEMA and the Irish Film Institute to coincide with the Bealtaine Festival. The purpose of these activities in May is to engage older people in all areas of the arts. Newcastle West Film Club is delighted to participate on this tour yet again. This years offering is the Irish film Dare To Be Wild.

Based on the true life story of Wexford landscape designer Mary Reynolds, who became the youngest woman to win a gold medal at the UK’s most prestigious garden event, the Chelsea Flower Show. It charts her journey including her romance with botanist Christy Collard. Dare to be Wild is a charming and passionate story with a powerful environmental message.
